Robin co-founded PayGate when paying online still felt like an act of faith. It grew into a leading pan-African payment gateway (processing for airlines, major retailers and global iGaming) and was sold as the pivotal player in a rollup of pan-African payment gateways.
He founded African Payment Solutions to help multinational eCommerce companies sell into African markets: the unglamorous work of local banks, currencies and regulation that the global platforms wouldn’t touch.
He was researching, publishing and experimenting with Bitcoin and digital currencies for African commerce while most of the industry was still dismissing it. Today he helps build CryptoMondays, the world’s largest IRL web3 community, meeting in more than fifty cities.
Now he’s following the same instinct into artificial intelligence, on the leadership team of the Decentralized AI Agent Alliance (DAIAA), home to many of the world’s leading decentralized-AI founders and ventures, and on the founding team of Agent MonDAI, the first open-source Web3 community-building AI agent.
